Lorenz Salomon Beckhardt is a German journalist, author and TV commissioning editor. From 1993 to 2005 he worked as reporter and commissioning editor for "ARD-Morgenmagazin" and "Tagesschau". Since 2006 he is commissioning editor for the science programme "Quarks" (WDR). Beckhardt received several awards for his work, e,g. Award for Science Journalism by the RWTH Aachen (2009), Online-Medienpreis by Ergo (2011), Kölner Medienpreis (2012). He is also supporter of Eintracht Frankfurt.
