- prosewallOctober 9, 2025I went in with an open mind, keen to see Mr. Swayze strut his stuff. I'd never even heard of this movie before. I was rewarded with some outstanding acting performances from across the entire cast. Patrick, Wesley and John were terrific, but the whole ensemble, led by Stokhard Channing and a broad, familiar and talented cast really bring this somewhat simple tale and the small backyard town it is mostly set in to life and colour in a way that makes me treasure it and want to go there. The storyline is easy, and only touches upon the heavier issues of a Drag Queen's existence. But it is honest and heartfelt, and an optimistic take on the world and how to approach your battles within it. I loved it and will watch it again.
