- Kevin WardJune 30, 2025Similar experience to revisiting the first one. Again, I was surprised how family friendly despite the semi frequent sexual innuendo. Not as funny as the first but still has something changed iconic funny lines. “That’s an awfully big mustache.” “Sex, Frank? Um, no not right now, Ed?” It’s also weirdly satisfying to see O.J. Simpson repeatedly subjected to horrible trauma. It’s been fun revisiting these.

From a time when spoof movies had actual funny jokes, coherent plots and casting prioritised talent over celebrity lookalikes or cameos. From a time before the genre devolved into a string of lazy pop culture references that had aged into irrelevance by the time the movie released. Oh and don't forget the gross-out / shock-value scenes. I miss movies like The Naked Gun trilogy and Airplane so much.
