The Fantastic Four: First Steps Ratings & Reviews
- jlehto19h agoFirst half is better than your average Marvel movie since Endgame
- RipLinesManMay 12, 2025Event Horizon (1997) walked so Fantastic Four: First Steps could roller-skate through space in matching blue fits, bro. This ain’t horror-core like the OG space nightmare, but it’s got that same “yo, we prob shouldn’t be out here” energy. Pedro Pascal gives Mr. Fantastic that calm-before-the-wormhole vibe, like Sam Neill before he ripped his eyes out, except this dude’s more stretchy than sketchy. Vanessa Kirby crushes it as Sue Storm, serious face and secret pain, kinda like if the Event Horizon ship had feelings. Julia Garner as Silver Surfer gives off straight-up “I’ve seen death and vibes” energy, just floatin around like she’s heard the screams from the other dimension. The 1960s retro-future aesthetic is fire — way brighter than Event Horizon's blood-slick halls, but still got that cold edge under the glow. It’s not as deep or twisted, but this thing’s got style, stress, and some emotional breakdowns between cosmic punches. Its not a full trip to hell, but def a weird cruise through space with emotional baggage and rock monsters.
- Ty LeetJuly 23, 2025The best part of this movie was the surfing and I’m not even joking.
- shirazesat2d agoNot particularly exciting, but probably a must-watch for things to come.
- MazdabaterSeptember 24, 2025I'm not sure how a movie featuring galactus was so boring
- russrev1ewsJuly 24, 2025All of my FF cinematic wounds are healed as this movie was truly fantastic (pun 1000% intended)! The MCU might be back guys? 🤯
- Sixpax3d agoI must be over superhero movies, because this one just didn’t hit for me. It wasn’t bad, the Silver Surfer storyline has simply been done before. The special effects were decent, the story was fine, and the acting was okay. But overall, it all felt a bit forced and uninspired. Definitely not one I’ll be revisiting any time soon.
- David Starlord Campbell4d agoGood for Disney Marvel, a fairly low risk story, I didn't hate it, probably won't bother with a second watch.
- JoelJuly 24, 2025Probably the most visually stunning MCU film to date, cast is great, and a few 10/10 sequences. Everything in space is peak. But this is a very uneven film. Last hour is noticeably weaker than the first, and I don’t think the ending was all that satisfying. And while I mentioned the cast being great, I think some characters (cough cough the thing) have very little to do.
- Donald Huemiller4d agoTerrible. The worst effort at the Fantastic 4 to date. Pedro Pascal couldn't even rescue this disaster of a film.
- DennisSeptember 22, 2025I found it rather boring, to be honest. I think I’ve reached the point where I simply couldn’t care less about whatever the hell is happening in the Marvel multiverse. The CGI is impressive, though
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ RσყҽƚƚJuly 29, 2025The Fantastic Four: First Steps doesn't just reboot a legacy - it rewires it with care, clarity, and cinematic control. From its very first frames, the film announces a shift in tone: retro aesthetics lend a nostalgic yet distinct visual palette, while the story grounds itself not in multiversal noise, but in human decisions and scientific curiosity. This is a Marvel film that respects both the super and the human.
- superaustingamerAugust 16, 2025That movie was pretty fantastic
- Danny BSeptember 26, 2025In my opinion, Fantastic Four is Marvel’s best film since Endgame. The retro-futuristic style gives it a unique identity, and the focus on family makes it feel meaningful. It's great that they used an unknown actor like Pedro Pascal and gave him his time to shine.
- Conunndrum254d agoLooks fantastic. Story is better than average. The villain should have been more threatening though.
