I Know What You Did Last Summer Ratings & Reviews
- Jillian BroekNovember 4, 2025The cameos from the original were really the only thing that made this worth watching.
- AjayNovember 3, 2025Good grief, this was difficult to finish. I've not seen the original, but I've heard it's better - to what degree I'm not sure, but this movie was definitely one that shouldn't have been made. Absolutely horrendous acting paired with unbearable teen drama / trivialities make for a slogfest with a villain who isn't that compelling. The pacing was off, and the writing didn't help make this any better. Save yourself an hour and some change to watch something better.
- gregg166October 31, 2025Not bad but the originals weren't amazing either
- Kit LazerJuly 17, 2025Around the middle of the movie I accidentally knocked my phone into the dark, filthy chasm between the seats. I had to reach my arm, shoulder-deep, into the sticky cinemussy, blindly grasping amongst detritus that has probably been sitting there since the original film came out in 1997. That was my favorite part of this movie.
- tellumOctober 30, 2025The twist at the end legitimately ruins the entire movie. Up until that point it is an acceptable homage to the original, some of the kills could’ve been much better and there are the typical horror trope logic holes, but it wasn’t too bad. The last 20 minutes just fall off the edge of the Earth and make everything feel like a waste of time.
- mistermccallAugust 28, 2025They didn't even do anything wrong in the first place.
- Johnathan ScottOctober 26, 2025It was ok somewhat predictable but not necessarily in a bad way. They definitely wanted to hit the nostalgic factor.
- John NewallAugust 27, 2025Great film and didn't disappoint, probably not as gruesome as the original but still the suspense is top-notch and kept me guessing who the killer was right to the end and I was still wrong, also enjoyed the nod to the original film with cameos from the original cast, definitely recommend, oh and you have to watch through until the full credits for the little teaser at the end!!!
- Allie TranAugust 1, 2025This was a fun, gory, campy mess. The humor is more catered toward Gen-Z so if that isn’t your style, this film probably isn’t for you. But I loved it.
- Michael HarrisonSeptember 7, 2025I'm sure I'll forget what they did last summer very quickly
- cloudsrivalOctober 15, 2025The same rote formula attempting to be spicy by making the pretty blonde obviously ditzy. Rehashes cameos in a similar vein as the Halloween franchise, only with less pizzazz. A tale of "revenge" which involves random, unrelated people being murdered is bad writing. Suspension of disbelief is required for everything, including the big twist. It's a bad second screen movie you'd play in the background.
- rama181August 30, 2025Garbage, total waste.
- Cheese McteerJuly 1, 2025This movie is better than the other ones.
- stuhannafordOctober 13, 2025I wish I hadn't bothered to find out what happenend Last Summer. It's the usual lazy Hollywood reboot formula. Make it longer, add a large spoonful of 'woke', drop in a nostalgic former character or two and use pretty much the same story but with a slight twist for 'creativity'. It makes very little sense at all, and unlike slashers of old, incredibly obvious who the killer is relatively early on... and for a slasher, it's not overly gory nor imaginative... probably so as not to offend anyone. The only thing I found offensive, was the new characters, all of which are horribly obnoxious to the point that you just wish they'd hurry up and get hooked, literally. It's even worse that the powers that be clearly fancy milking a franchise that only ever had one good film in the first place, for every drop of blood it has. A bloody mess.
- NirupamJuly 18, 2025Madelyn Cline was pretty funny in this, but I feel like she would have been even funnier if I’d been able to decipher half of what she was mumbling. I need to watch it again with subtitles.
