If you don’t know why, you need to watch the movie and then come back to me. If you haven’t seen Guardians of the Galaxy, you’ve either been living in a cave for the last twenty years or you’re not the kind of person who’ll vibe with my reviews. Either way, go watch it, then tell me how it made you feel.

The rag tag team concept is leaned into so hard that it genuinely didn’t feel like the characters had any chemistry, and the villain being one dimensional and uninteresting doesn’t help. There are enough hijinx and big budget action to make sure it isn’t necessarily bad, but for this stage of MCU it is in the bottom half.
