Gebroken Rood (Broken Red) is about Simon a retired teacher of Dutch. During the Second World War he is a member of an underground resistance group. When in 2004 one of the members of the group brutally murdered by two youths, the others meet at the funeral. Present and past flow into each other. The group decides to take action to start fighting again.
