- ebd321May 20, 2025This is a prolonged nightmare, in the literal sense. It never drags which is impressive for such a lengthy film. There are many creatively artistic scenes throughout. I am glad I saw it and I never want to watch it again. :-)

A mommy issues fever dream with a Herculean runtime that will likely satisfy Ari Aster fans and simultaneously repulse his detractors. I find myself mostly in the middle, admiring almost every ounce of craft on display and simultaneously never wanting to watch this again. The Free t-shirt was pretty cool though. And Birthday Boy Stab Man….you will always be famous.

I don’t want to say this is bad especially since I didn’t finish it, but this movie is extremely surreal and absurdist, so if you really like that and don’t need conventional story telling then you will enjoy this more than I did.
