Alita: Battle Angel Ratings & Reviews
- Toronto122October 18, 2025By no means perfect, but a fun watch none the less. Very believable VFX. And Waltz is amazing, as usual.
- Russell BuckleFebruary 20, 2025Amazingly Done. This movie is better than the anime. Visual effects are pretty good also
- Paul SchwartzAugust 26, 2025Great watch, another girl power flick yet this one actually works towards that end. Looking forward to part two
- The_HolmesMay 21, 2025This is a surprisingly fun, upbeat enjoyable flick. Not something I expected to like at all. But well done. Puts me in a good mood everytime I check it out.
- RichyEOctober 5, 2025The movie dazzled me in 4K, but my first encounter with Alita was on a worn VHS tape and that memory still holds weight. The 2019 film is a visual juggernaut and it is like stepping into a cyberpunk theme park. But the original 1993 anime OVA? That was raw, compact and emotionally piercing in a different way. I remember the grain of the VHS, the slightly warped audio, and the way the story hit harder because it didn’t over explain. The animation was gritty, the violence unflinching and the tone far darker. The movie covers roughly the same arc as the OVA, Ido finding Alita, her bounty hunter awakening, the doomed romance, but it adds layers from the manga and modernizes the pacing. It’s more accessible, more emotionally rounded, but also more Hollywood. So yes, the film is impressive. But that VHS tape? That was my gateway. It didn’t have Dolby Atmos or a million dollar budget, but it had soul, grit and the kind of storytelling that sticks with you long after the credits roll.

- Ike EyidahOctober 3, 2025I just love this movie. Grewat story and fabulous world building. Just wish they would make a follow-up film. Great entertainment. Just leave your brains at the door.
- HakihikoSeptember 30, 2025Visually Dazzling and Surprisingly Emotional "Alita: Battle Angel" is one of those rare blockbusters that manages to blend cutting-edge visual effects with an emotional core that actually resonates. The CGI work is outstanding, especially in bringing Alita to life with incredible detail and expressiveness—she feels both otherworldly and deeply human at the same time. The action sequences are kinetic, beautifully choreographed, and exciting to watch, with a style that keeps you engaged from start to finish. What stands out most is how much heart the movie has. While the story follows some familiar beats, Alita’s journey is compelling and backed by a solid supporting cast that adds weight to the world. It doesn’t escape some uneven pacing and a few underdeveloped subplots, but those are forgivable when the film delivers such an immersive and thrilling experience. Overall, "Alita: Battle Angel" is an impressive adaptation that exceeds expectations. With its mix of emotion, action, and spectacle, it deserves a strong 8.5/10.
- MustaphaFebruary 7, 2025Good animations, good battle scenes but an amateurish story.
- JoseTorresRodriguezSeptember 14, 2025I’m good is movies 🍿 👍 Rating :)
- mickerdooAugust 8, 2025Enjoyed CGI and battle sequences. Even the story. But it should've been darker and the practical sets looked like Disney TV shows.
- Kɱҽƚȥ TԋҽαƚҽɾApril 21, 2025It's Alita.... What else do you need to know. 😁 Great movie, left me waiting for a sequel, but doubt that's going to happen. One of those movies you can watch multiple times and get a little bit more out of it each time.
- NonPlayableContentMarch 21, 2025Neat to watch but even better as a movie to talk throughout and watch the action here and there. As not an original source material fan I think it was well acted and felt like people tried in their roles.
- jspei8October 30, 2024Great visual
