A Novel Affair
Directed by Muriel BoxNovelist Judith Wynter gets inspiration for her new book after her wheelchair-bound husband Roger hires Carlo, a handsome Italian chauffeur. She bases her lurid story of deception, adultery and murder on completely fictionalised characterisations of herself, Roger and Carlo. Unfortunately, the chauffeur reads a draft of the novel and naively concludes that Judith is madly in love with him in real life as well as on the page.
