300: Rise of an Empire Ratings & Reviews
- bogometerOctober 17, 2025Artemesia a is a hot evil Admiral pitted against Themistocles in a grand battle for the soul of western civilization. Violence, gore, spectacle and one hell of a sex scene. What’s not to like?
- neuroparadoxJuly 29, 2025A perfectly serviceable action movie that's almost ruined by it's constant callbacks and references to the original 300 movie (which was excellent) instead of trying to be its own movie. Eva Green is great as always though, and I definitely think she has a pro-nudity clause built into her contracts where she must be allowed get naked in every other movie (sorry, Dumbo). I humbley approve of her choice of artistic expression. 😍🤣
- TubzJuly 13, 2025Even more spray on abs and oil, cgi going all out for big bang fights and boobies.
- NierJuly 9, 2025300: Rise of an Empire earns a solid 4 stars from me. While it doesn’t quite recapture the lightning-in-a-bottle impact of the original 300, it still delivers a visually stunning and action-packed experience. The film leans hard into its stylized battles and epic naval scenes, offering plenty of slow-motion combat and bloody spectacle fans expect. The story expands on the world and history established in the first film, focusing more on strategy at sea and introducing fresh faces like Artemisia, who steals almost every scene she’s in. The performances are strong, and the movie never drags—there’s always another battle or bold speech around the corner. It might not be as iconic or emotionally charged as the original, but Rise of an Empire still provides a thrilling, larger-than-life journey. If you can accept it for the impressive popcorn flick that it is, you’ll have a great time.
- Daniel TaylorMay 30, 2025I enjoyed it but it took me 3 days to watch as it was just dragging on. I’m like meh get to it already. But I did love Eva Green!
- Mister ArnMay 22, 2025A couple of hours of bloody fighting with some heroic ideas thrown in to give the film the pretense of a plot.
- Paul RipmeesterOctober 12, 2024Clearly a scam to shill democracy.
