Directed by Waldemar KrzystekNurse Anna meets her wartime lover Marcel in 1950. Learning that he has been sentenced to death for being a member of the Home Army, she starts hiding him in her cellar. During the long 6 years, she gets pregnant with his child. Despite the hardships and gossip she holds much better than he does. In 1956, when the political climate finally changes, Marcel resurfaces and gets arrested, but then is acquitted by the court.
