Vash Vanya
Directed by Anastasiya MerkulovaOn May 9, 1945, a small German village was captured by Soviet troops. Ivan shows leniency to the unfortunate German guy, whom the war forced to take up arms at the age of 13. On the one hand, Jurgen is a soldier, and Ivan should treat him like an enemy. On the other hand, Ivan sees in him another little boy who lost his mother early and is going through his soldier's lot hard. Despite such a strong contrast, they find a common language, but then the harsh reality of war intervenes in their relationship.
