Sitabai Gunje an entrepreneur running a small scale business which has made life of many people and she has gained respect from everyone for this.Pratap is a her only son an well known lawyer living with wife Vina and son Nikhil after a felicitation ceremony of Sitabai their car meets with an accident where Pratap and others escape unhurt but Sitabai collapses.The accident leaves Sitabai bedridden all her life while Pratap and Vina take care of her.But at one stage Sitabai pleads for mercy killing as she feels like a burden on her family.
