Going inside the hearts and minds of California's most dangerous youth felons, "Real Time" explores the reality of adolescent life in prison. This documentary is about minors in California's youth prison system who write and direct two short films. It is also the first time a documentary crew had been allowed in the compound which houses the system's youngest offenders. Wards openly discuss their crimes, rehabilitation, and their dreams for life after prison. Real Time explores the true potential of rehabilitation through education and the arts.
