Directed by Edvin LaineOpri is a charming and gentle old woman, one of thousands evacuated from the Finnish Karelia just before the province was taken over by the Soviets in the Second World War. Spiritual Opri, a Greek Orthodox among Lutheran Finns, sees prophecies in her dreams and talks to her late husband daily. Opri is put in an old people's home filled with other strong characters, ranging from a bitter old woman who dislikes everything to hilariously senile old men with their boyish pranks.
