Mahadevrao Sasane a village milkman is blessed with three daughters Shalini,Malini and Nalini he believes that his daughters are equal to boys and is happy for it but his wife Paro feels that girls should only take care of their families.A pregnant Shalini's date is near while Malini different from everyone is an athlete and knows karate well and completing her education,Nalini does part time job.Mahadevrao wants Malini to get married soon a rich Chandu falls in love with Malini while Dr Deepak falls in love with Nalini.Shalini gives birth to a baby girl but her husband and mother in law aren't happy with it as they expected a boy and ignore Shalini and her baby.Mahadevrao goes to meet Chandu's father with marriage proposal who asks him a dowry of one Lakh rupees but still he feels a proud father of three daughters and doesn't feel them a burden.
