Marine Raider Memorial March

Directed by Allan R. Smith
2016    46m
On March 10th, 2015 a Helicopter carrying 7 United States Special Operations Marines and 4 National Guardsman crashed off the coast of Navarre, Florida. One MARSOC Marine, Staff Sargent Nate Harris decided it was important to pay honor to the lost Marines and took it upon himself to create a ruck march to pay honor and recognition and to "bring their brothers home". Carrying the one item that was recovered in the crash, a "Raider Paddle", both former and active Marines met in Navarre and gathered in 7 teams of two. Accompanied by family members of the lost Marines, the teams ruck marched with 45 pound packs, 24 hours a day for a distance of 770 miles to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The Marine Raider Memorial March film is the remarkable story of the journey home and remembering the lost.
