Extravagantly expensive massaging mats, rejuvenating ampules with co-enzyme Q10, a set of pots costing over 2 thousand EUR are only a few of the vast spectrum of objects sold at suspicious commercial presentations for old-age pensioners, a phenomenon widely spread in Poland and in other Central and Eastern European countries. Five female friends from a small Polish town are fascinated by such devices and strongly believe that they can heal their illnesses and prolong their lives. It is an observational documentary comedy, in which poverty coincides with richness, laughter with tears; a film made with a respect for the classic way of documentary making, especially the Czech wave of the 1960s.
