Directed by Richard ReiszIn January 2011, as the Egyptian revolution was in full swing, researchers from the University of Basel made two incredible discoveries in the Valley of the Kings. A first tomb named KV64 contains two mummies: a princess from the time of Amenhotep III and an aristocrat from the 22nd dynasty, the burial having been reused. Right next to it is a second tomb, called KV40. Although already known in the past, it has not yet been excavated. While exploring this tomb, the Basel team discovered more than ninety bodies there - most of them belonging to contemporary women of Amenhotep III. Who were they?
