Title cards printed with slogans and symbols underline remarks by commentators; stylized interviews, notably with Fernando Arrabal, the great Spanish playwright, filmmaker, novelist, anarchist and chess expert, are intercut with scenes from great movies or with verite footage from international chess matches and press conferences.
