The film tells the story of the hotel manager Michael Hagen, who finally wants to catch up on the long-promised honeymoon with his wife Rebecca. But Michael's boss has other plans: Michael is supposed to take over the luxurious but increasingly poorly performing hotel "El Sol" on Mallorca and find out why the already few guests are increasingly leaving head over heels. In order not to disappoint his wife and not to lose his job, Michael conceals his assignment and flies to the Balearic island with Rebecca, hoping to make their dream holiday together possible after all.
