East L.A. Marine: The Guy Gabaldon Story

2006
During World War II, U.S. Marine Guy Gabaldon achieved the impossible by single-handedly capturing over 1,500 Japanese soldiers and civilians. This documentary explores Gabaldon's life both as a war hero and as a dedicated contributor to society. Gabaldon, who spent many years after the war working to help troubled teenagers, was the real-life inspiration for the Hollywood biopic Hell to Eternity.
