Media and Communication Professor Joni Siani was on the front line of the digital revolution. She explains that when these changes started 'my classes turned into two hours Facebook and texting therapy!' Siani started to change the conversation from what do you think to 'how do you feel?' Siani was shocked to learn of the depth of anxiety, stress, addiction and mental health issues associated with the demands of 24/7 connectivity. Together, she and her students challenged the new norms and found an empowering solution. Celling Your Soul is not 'anti technology, it's pro human' and reminds us of the importance of authentic human connectivity. These students, who learned the power of empathy and the real meaning of intimacy, are now passionate about paying it forward.
