Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Ayan Mukerji. It centers around Shiva, an orphaned musician with the ability to control fire. Shiva learns that he is an astra, a powerful celestial weapon. He joins forces with his love interest, Isha, and their mentor to safeguard the Brahmastra from dark forces. This film marks the first chapter of a trilogy. It received mixed reviews, noting strong performances, visuals, soundtrack, and action but faced criticism for its dialogue. The film achieved the status of the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022 and ranked as the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Its release was postponed due to several factors including production and financial issues, as well as the COVID-19 pandemic. Two more sequels are currently being developed.
