The music video for "Whistle" was directed by Beomjin J of VM Project Architecture, who also directed "Monster" by Exo and "The 7th Sense" by NCT U. The video was released on Black Pink's official YouTube channel on August 8, 2016. The video went viral soon after it was uploaded, surpassing ten million views within five days.
