Alphabet

Directed by Eliot Noyes
1966    6m
5.6
Each of the twenty-six letters in the Latin alphabet is presented in order. Set in front of a jazz score, animated drawings of English words - exclusively objects and actions - starting with the letter in question accompany the display of each letter, the drawings morphing from one to another, and morphing from letter to letter. Not stopping at Z, the last drawing is that of a famous phrase taught to learn the alphabet, that short phrase which uses each of the twenty-six letters at least once, one object in the phrase which has its own parting word about the piece.
