It’s less about destruction and more about the quiet, bureaucratic obsession of the agency tasked with studying the impossible.
The story weaves between timelines, tracing both the birth of Monarch and its modern descendants, threading together a generational mystery that feels almost archaeological. It respects the mythos set by Godzilla and Kong without trampling over it, showing that monsters may reshape cities—but institutions reshape humanity.
Through a Western lens, it gives reverence to the Eastern roots of these myths. These aren’t just beasts; they’re gods of nature and consequence, rendered in a world that still pretends it has control.
