I remember watching this on TV as a kid with my parents and absolutely loving the main character. It’s definitely a product of its time, something that couldn’t be made today, but that’s what makes it so fascinating. You have to watch it with the 1930s in mind to really appreciate its humor, style and cultural context. A nostalgic and eye opening experience.
