Brigadoon
Two Americans on a hunting trip in Scotland become lost. They encounter a small village, not on the map, called Brigadoon, in which people harbor a mysterious secret, and behave as if they were still living two hundred years in the past.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked the movie from a nostalgic point of view. But, this was the time of over acting and over directing. You aren’t going to get the believable and sincere acting you would from more modern actors and directors. It was a hit of its time, and that’s the way it should be remembered.
