I Know What You Did Last Summer
When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they're forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.

I wish I hadn't bothered to find out what happenend Last Summer. It's the usual lazy Hollywood reboot formula. Make it longer, add a large spoonful of 'woke', drop in a nostalgic former character or two and use pretty much the same story but with a slight twist for 'creativity'. It makes very little sense at all, and unlike slashers of old, incredibly obvious who the killer is relatively early on... and for a slasher, it's not overly gory nor imaginative... probably so as not to offend anyone. The only thing I found offensive, was the new characters, all of which are horribly obnoxious to the point that you just wish they'd hurry up and get hooked, literally. It's even worse that the powers that be clearly fancy milking a franchise that only ever had one good film in the first place, for every drop of blood it has. A bloody mess.
