This reboot gets it right.
It leans hard into the “teenage” part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the result is fresh, funny and full of heart.
The animation style feels like graffiti come to life, rough, expressive and totally unique.
It’s got that Spider-Verse energy, but with its own flavor.
The turtles actually sound and act like teens and their chemistry is spot on.
Jackie Chan as Splinter is inspired casting and Ice Cube’s Superfly brings swagger and menace.
The soundtrack slaps, the jokes land and the story, while simple, hits the emotional beats it needs to.
It’s not trying to be gritty or epic.
It’s just fun and if you grew up with the turtles, this feels like a love letter to both the past and the next generation.
