Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
Amiable slackers Bill and Ted are once again roped into a fantastical adventure when De Nomolos, a villain from the future, sends evil robot duplicates of the two lads to terminate and replace them. The robot doubles actually succeed in killing Bill and Ted, but the two are determined to escape the afterlife, challenging the Grim Reaper to a series of games in order to return to the land of the living.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey is like catching up with old friends who’ve gone a little weirder since you last saw them.
It’s enjoyable, no doubt, there’s still that lovable slacker energy, the absurd humor and the wild ride through time and space (and this time, even the afterlife).
But compared to the first film’s fresh charm, this sequel feels more chaotic than clever.
The heart is still there and the humor mostly lands.
It’s just that Excellent Adventure had a kind of innocent magic that Bogus Journey tries to outdo with louder, weirder antics.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Still, if you love Bill and Ted, this is a ride worth taking.
