So much fun! This movie does an awesome job modernizing the Turtles’ tale. The filmmakers really lean into the teenage part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and it works perfectly. Watching the way the Turtles and April interact just makes you smile — like most teens, they just want to belong, and that theme runs through the whole story.
Splinter’s character and casting are spot-on; Jackie Chan nails the role of a dad trying to guide his wild teenage kids. There's tons of funny dialogue, ninja action, and plenty of character. A highly rewatchable adventure.
