Let the Devil In

Let the Devil In
5.16.0
A haunting and mysterious documentary series about a decades-old tragedy that destroyed one family and ignited the darkest fears of a small New Jersey town. For the first time, witnesses, friends, and community members try to make sense of the unthinkable events, some believing that Satan took hold of a vulnerable teen boy, while others believe that far more earthly demons were to blame.

Entertaining documentary, but for people to be blaming Satan and stating that it was "too late" to help him is just ignorance. No mention of mental health here for entertainment purposes. "Was it possession or something else?" yeah, definitely something else, a lack of care and education.
It's one thing that everyone involved in the investigation was a superstitious idiot, but I still expected the documentary filmmaker to kind of address how these false beliefs affected the investigation. Nah, they entertained the fantasy. The only Satanists are the Christians who are more obsessed with Satan and demonic powers than solving the actual case and figuring out why a teenager would ever do this. Shame on the filmmakers who decided to make this into an entertaining horror piece instead of a true crime documentary that would focus on actually questioning what is the truth behind all the fiction created by the adults who were not willing to take any responsibility.
Oh, and the dad did it.
