Yet another Peele movie that favors spectacle and metaphors over writing a solid plot or likeable characters. Nope seems aimless in what exactly its story is. Whether its attempt at unsettling imagery of events or the "antagonist," Nope is largely forgettable and is self-indulgent about its striking visuals.
While these set pieces attempt to wow the audience, its buildup is as underwhelming as its payoff.
