The monsters are big, the fights are loud, and the story is barely holding it all together. The New Empire doubles down on Hollow Earth lore and wild visuals, but loses any sense of momentum in a swirl of CG chaos and thin character work.
Godzilla and Kong still bring the spectacle, but the human side is weaker than ever, and even the kaiju moments start to blur together by the end.
A messy, overstuffed entry that proves more isn’t always better.
