⭐⭐⭐½ – A Bundle of Trouble: An Aurora Teagarden Mystery – Bottles, Babysitting, and a Bit of Mayhem
A Bundle of Trouble continues the Aurora Teagarden Mystery series in the same cozy, small-town fashion that fans have come to love — equal parts charm, curiosity, and just enough danger to keep you leaning forward without ever getting truly tense. Like the rest of the series, it’s another reminder that librarian-turned-sleuth Roe Teagarden really can’t go anywhere without tripping over a body or a baffling clue.
Candace Cameron Bure once again brings her familiar warmth to Roe, balancing the curious mind of a detective with the everyday heart of someone just trying to do the right thing. Marilu Henner is wonderful as always, hovering between exasperation and pride as the mother who can’t decide if her daughter’s talent for solving murders is a gift or a curse.
The twist this time — involving a baby left behind and a tangle of secrets — adds a softer emotional layer to the usual lighthearted crime-solving. It’s still all very Hallmark: clean, comforting, and predictable in the best way. The chemistry among the recurring cast keeps it feeling like a reunion more than a rerun, which is exactly why it works.
It’s not a standout in the series, but it’s one of those familiar installments you can slip into like a well-worn cardigan — pleasant, a little silly, and just the right amount of mysterious.
☕️ Pairing: A chai latte with honey — soothing, lightly spiced, and dependable, perfect for another evening in Roe’s endlessly eventful little town.
