This short, OVA length anime has a vibe, a sound and a style that deserves to be seen and studied. Suffering from constrained pacing, it becomes hard to care by the end of the journey as every moment of it is enjoyable and sublime to the senses. There is well incorporated uses of CGI at play, great music, good story and excellent animation! A number of contemporary talents in the anime industry references Blue Submarine No. 6 as source of personal inspiration.
