An outstanding adaptation of Alexander Dumas' 19th century book by the same title, The Count of Monte Cristo holds remarkably well today, 23 years from its release. Beautifully directed and skillfully brought to life by an excellent cast among which names like Jim Caviezel, Henry Cavill, Richard Harris, and Guy Pierce make it shine even brighter. Definitely an all-time and a must watch!
