"NEBRASKA" is a father-and-son road trip, from Billings, Montana to Lincoln, Nebraska that gets waylaid at a small town in central Nebraska, where the father grew up and has scores to settle. I didn't have any expectations going into this movie, and was pleasantly surprised at how much it feels, relying more on space than dialog.
The dynamic between Dern and Forte is something else. They give each other so much room to say so much with so little. I can't remember the last time I saw a father / son dynamic in a movie done this well.
A real perfect Sunday afternoon film.
