“A Great Journey, Bold and Wonderful” really surprised me. It felt at times like watching a live-action anime, with a different, fantastic story that pulls you in. It’s colorful, emotional, and full of imagination.
I get why some critics don’t like it — they’re often stuck comparing everything to The Big Lebowski or Casablanca. But if you’re into Asian cinema and you enjoy films that dare to be different, this one will definitely charm you. It’s not a movie for armchair intellectuals, it’s a movie for people who want to dream.
