The slow motion isn't nearly as annoyingly-omnipresent as in the first movie, so that's a giant improvement right off. The plot also improves and it isn't immediately obvious exactly what's going to happen this time, but don't mistake that for being a deep or moving plot. The world-building continues to be the best part about these films—it's just a shame that there's so much internal inconsistency from a logical standpoint.
Snyder's hyper-stylized visuals are still here in full force, of course, and how you feel about those is likely to impact how you enjoy the movie as a whole, to a large extent. There was just barely enough to this movie to keep me watching, but it's hardly a great film and it will be easy to forget most of what happened afterwards.
