⭐⭐⭐⭐ (out of 5) Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – A sweet spell gone infernal, where teenage angst meets the devil’s design.
“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” drags the lovable witch of the ‘90s out of her pastel sitcom world and straight into the depths of gothic horror. Gone are the canned laughter and talking cat quips — this is Sabrina the Teenage Witch rewritten by H.R. Giger after a particularly dark night of the soul.
Where the original was all smiles, rainbows, and the occasional Care Bear cameo, this version trades charm for damnation. The witches here don’t wave wands; they draw sigils in blood. It’s stylish, twisted, and drenched in atmosphere — a ritual of black lace, flickering candles, and teenage rebellion that refuses to be wholesome.
And yet, beneath all the fire and brimstone, there’s still heart — a story of identity, power, and the tug-of-war between good intentions and dark inheritance. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina walks that perfect line between camp and creep, offering a tone that’s as confident in its absurdity as it is in its horror.
If the old Sabrina was a Saturday morning cartoon, this one’s the midnight screening version — all claws, candles, and consequences.
