Candyman is a short movie, but it feels long. The pacing is all over the place and it drags more than it should. I would have enjoyed it way more with extra kills and some harder-hitting moments. On top of that, we don’t get enough backstory on Candyman himself, and the character deserved more exposition to really land. It’s not terrible, but it ends up feeling drawn out and kind of empty.
